Just Like Home

The sands sparkle like an infinite field of diamonds as the sun burns brightly high in the sky. The random creature lazing around on the dunes makes it a scene of relaxation despite the intense heat. A desert camo designed gift box appears high in the sky and a figure falls out, disrupting the peace of the area.

I land with an 'oomph' on the ground, causing a cloud of sand to rise at my feet. I look around the area, smiling behind my mask. Desert as far as I can see. "Just like Heliopolis..." The heat here is nothing compared to the temperature of my homeland or the fire burning under my skin thanks to Bennu-sama. In fact, it's quite comforting, like a blanket fresh out the dryer. With a cheerful sound, I run across the sands, enjoying the freedom I only felt as a child. I trip as I run over a dune and roll down the other side, laughing the whole time. I land on my back and stare up at the sun, enjoying the moment of leisure.

The sand stirred up around Sadi as she jumped playfully through the desert sand. It spun around her loosely, gaining more and more grains each rotation, until a small sand cyclone formed nearby. The wind blew into the small sand funnel, dispursing it and causing a sudden sand storm.

I sit up, looking around in confusion at the sudden storm. "Mrr...Here I was thinking I could enjoy a nice day without a storm. Silly me~." I pull a pair of goggles out of my bag and slide them over my eyes. I tap my chin as I think of a way to clear a path and clasp my hands together as a thought comes to me. I make a gesture with my arm, creating a stream of wind laced with my own energy. As a mixes with the storm, small sparks begin to appear. "This could be risky but whatevs~! Exploding Wind Fiasco~!" Suddenly, the sand in the air ignites and explodes like millions of fireworks. The explosions clear a path straight ahead which I quickly run though before the explosions fade and the storm fills in the gap.
