Cassius' Space

*it was about midnight by now. He had glanced at the clock in the lobby a minute ago. Approaching the desk, a Convenant member dressed in tan robes lay on it, leaving a slight puddle of drool on some papers that didn't look too important. Cassius cleared his throat loudly. The member hadn't stirred. Frowning he looked around him for any more assistance...there was not a soul in sight except the sorry one in front of him. His finger pressed the small bell at the table as if it would make a difference. It hadn't; the body in front of him hardly stirred. Hesitantly, Cassius pushed the shoulder of the other man quickly, knocking him back into the chair, hopefully to wake him.

There wasn't a man who could sleep more soundly. The saliva gurgled in the sleeping man's throat. It must have been some rough nights recently. Sighing, Cassius' blue eyes fell upon a clipboard that held a list of available rooms and the like. He skipped the names of his fellow neighbors and chose an empty quarter for himself, with a room number 23. The roster was set down upon the desk once again, and Cassius reached past the sleeping member to grab the room key*

'They should set a new receptionist...because this one is ridiculously lousy..'

*he said to himself, and then made his way down a corridor of rooms*

*the door opened smoothly with surprise. The inside of the room wasn't as bad as he had thought. There lay a table in the corner with 2 comfortable red seats, a decent looking bed with light blue sheets. A lamp light was close by the door which he switched on. It light the room, but barely. Lastly, on the northern wall had a window with a shade. Moonlight beamed through the glass.

Cassius sighed and unbuckled his sword from his belt. The metal clanked twice before releasing into his hands. He set it upon the bed for now, deciding to do some new interior: moving the table away from the red seats, he dragged it next to the bed, making a large nightstand. He positioned the chairs in front of the door in case someone wanted to take a seat. He didn't expect many visitors, but there could be some. Life tended to surprise him.

Afterwards, Cassius now lay his sword upon the nightstand, being sure to have the handle face the bed. He could never be too safe...just in case someone decided to break in. Sliding a hand down into his pocket, he pulled out a photo of his mother, placed it upon the table. Then in the same pocket, he pulled out another photo, this time more recent. It was a photo of himself, awkward, as his twin Linnea laughed and smiled for the camera on his head. His mouth twitched a little, remembering the day. It was a lovely evening. Lin dressed in white.

Sighing, Cassius sat upon the bed, bouncing a little to test for comfort. It wasn't too comfortable, but he didn't expect much. His boots came off, then his jacket, and he lay, relaxing. Before he knew it, he fell asleep*
