training Kyle Ripper

Ripper stood in the training room swinging his Zanpakuto back and fourth trying to get a feel for it. He had only used the Zanpakuto once in combat, but still lacked the training to handle the blade it self. He needed help in trying to find out the sword's power's and abilities. He hoped one person could come and train with him.

((I'm Kyle's training partner.))

((Shall we start this then?))

Ripper could see Anlizen stand in front of him. She was wrapped in white cloth and her wing's flapped gracefully. As of right now he was in his own soul, the ground looked like water, the back ground had light blue mist floating around, it was nice.

Anlizen: "Kyle, are you ready?"

Ripper looked at her puzzled. "Ready for what?" Ripper asked calmly as Anlizen touched his face softly.

Anlizen: "For your battle with your friend."

Ripper was shocked to hear this. "Elijah?" Ripper asked

Anlizen: "Yes he's going to help you use me."

Ripper stood up as Anlizen grabbed his hand with her's. Then a bright white light lit everything around him. Ripper awoke to hear foot step's.

Elijah had come to Academy earlier that day to refine some of his abilities and spar with some opponents. He liked sparring at the academy, because he didn't have to hold back here. The place was full of healers, and during sparring matches, the opponents had the option to use built-in barriers that would protect them from fatal attacks.

While signing up for a match, he learned that Kyle was also here. It had been a while since he had sparred with Kyle before, and he was interested in seeing Kyle's new abilities, namely that Zanpakuto, so he decided to spar with Kyle first.

He found Kyle in one of the meditation chambers, sitting indian-style with his sword, Anlizen, in hand. "Hey Kyle, I saw that on the list you made yourself available to spar. Can we have a match?"

Ripper looked up at Elijah. "Well I need some training with my Zanpakuto so sure why not." Ripper said as he stood up. "I'll only be using Anlizen in this match, to try and master some of her abilities." Ripper explained as he kept in his true form.

((BTW, for reference, I'm wearing black short sleeve shirt, a black ballistic best, black gloves, olive fatigue pants, and black combat boots.))

"Excellent, I've been itching to see your blade in action." Elijah unsheathed his own sword, an enchanted broadsword, and held it in his left hand with the blade pointing down. "Do you mind if we warm up with a normal sword fight?"

Ripper began to walk up to Elijah. "Sure why not." Ripper said as he swung his blade at Elijah's left side.

Elijah ducked down to avoid the slash; the katana passed harmlessly overhead his crouched form. He proceeded to thrust his sword at Kyle's right foot.

Ripper raised his right leg dodging the thrust. As he did he swung his blade down at Elijah's head.

With a powerful kick from his left leg, Eljah rolled to the right of Kyle and evaded the cut. As he rolled on his back, he thrust his sword at Kyle's right hand.

Ripper was quick to spin around and block the attack with his blade, a mighty clash was heard as the blades hit each other. Ripper then quickly spun around swung his blade at Elijah's right side.

Elijah silently cursed as Kyle blocked his attacked. If he was going to land a hit on Kyle, he was going to have to get more physical. But first, he was going to have to get some distance between Kyle and himself.

As Kyle made a vertical cut, Elijah made a shoulder roll backward. But unlike the last time he when rolled only one time, he rolled his body several times, until he was 10 meters away from Kyle.

He finally stopped rolling, and got back on his feet. Waiting for Kyle to come at him, he pointed his blade up, waiting for the inevitable cut or thrust.

Ripper looked at Elijah as he rolled 10 meter's away. "This is getting good." Ripper thought as he moved in closer towards Elijah. As he moved forward he kept his blade low. As soon as he was close he slashed vertically. This way if Elijah dodged the attack he could easily move to counter Elijah's attack.

Elijah made a downward right horizontal cut to bat away Kyle's vertical cut. At the same time, he shot up his right arm to deliver a powerful elbow strike to Kyle's face. The force of the strike, coupled with his superhuman strength, could cave in a normal man's skull with ease. Elijah wasn't sure how effective the attack would be against a another superhuman like Kyle if he managed to hit his face, but he was sure it would daze him at the very least.

Ripper laughed as he immediately ducked down dodging the elbow to the face, as he did he swung his right leg around to try and trip Elijah. "Not fast enough Elijah." Ripper taunted.

Elijah brought his sword to his left side and jumped straight up to avoid Kyle's leg sweep. As he rose into the air, he raised his right foot to perform a quick vertical kick, aiming for Kyle's chin.

Ripper rolled back quickly then lept forward while thrusting his sword for Elijah's right arm.

Elijah was still in the process of rising in the air, so Kyle's attacked missed. Elijah kicked up his legs that so that he would flip backwards. After a few seconds of flipping, he finally landed in a kneeling position 8 meters away from Kyle, then raised a hand to indicate that he wanted a break.

"If we keep this up, we'll be here all day. I think it's time we used our powers."

Ripper laughed as Elijah wanted a break, so did he though. Ripper knew they were going to be at this for quite some time if they continued with just their blades, besideds they knew each others moves like the back of their hands. In a way they were like brothers. "Your right, I'll let you make the first move when your ready." Ripper told Elijah.

Elijah scratched his chin, thinking about what move he could use to open the new phase of combat. "I got it!" He spun around so that he was now facing away from Kyle. Then he looked back, bent over, and lightly spanked his butt with the side of his blade. "Come and get it Bonesy!"

Ripper fell to the ground laughing, he couldn't believe Elijah just did that. "Uh...yeah what ever you say." Ripper replied as he stood back up. Ripper quickly summoned a unholy shield from beanth Elijah, it wasn't meant to do damage but rather send him flying towards him.
